Summary "Imran Khan should first focus on KP, only then should think of other areas": Khursheed Shah

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Opposition leader Khursheed Shah on Thursday stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Chairman (PTI) Imran Khan even lost the elections in Punjab so he has no chance of winning from Sindh. Talking to the media in Sukkur, the opposition leader also stated that Khan should first focus on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and only then should think of victories from other areas. Speaking on the Local Government (LG) elections, Shah stated that the army or the Rangers should be appointed where necessary.

During a discussion earlier today with media at Karachi’s 11th Book Fair, Shah commented that the PTI chief is a mature scientist, however, Khan will not believe even if he himself won the election. Shah also remarked that everyone in the country needs improvement and not just the Sharifs.

Shah also spoke on the matter of “good governance” and criticized the Army Chief’s statement, expressing that the army’s call for it through ISPR was an inaccurate move.

Earlier today the PTI chief had severely criticized both Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League—Nawaz (PML-N). Addressing a public meeting for local body election campaign in Hyderabad, Khan said that freedom from the ruling mafia would demand sacrifices and that a handful of people are creating hurdles in the way of change. Khan said that PML-N and PPP have been ruling in turns for several years. He said that the ruling parties enjoy police’s help in the elections. Khan also stated that PPP has ruled 6 times during the last 30 years. The PTI chairman had also compared LG elections in the three provinces stating Sindh and Punjab local bodies will be given no powers while the people of KP will be able to take their own decisions. Khan stated that however, all the decisions in Sindh and Punjab will be taken by their chief ministers.
