ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In what can be described as the first instance of such a sentence carried out in Pakistan, a man has been sentenced to up to 3 years in prison by a court for making a fake account on Facebook and using it for blackmail on Wednesday.
The culprit, named Qayyum Janjua was arrested by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) over making a fake Facebook account.
Upon conviction, Additional Session Judge Islamabad sentenced the culprit up to 3 years in jail in addition to a fine of Rs 25000. FIA has sent the culprit to jail.
