Summary At least 25 army men have joined the rescue operation along with heavy machinery
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A 4 storey factory building on Wednesday collapsed at Lahore’s Sundar Industrial Area killing at least 16, wounding dozens while as many as 150 are still trapped under the rubble, Dunya News reported.
According to details, bodies of at least 16 workers have been recovered and more casualties are feared. Over 150 people worked in the factory all of whom are trapped under the rubble.
Upon district administration’s request, Pakistan Army men have arrived at the scene along with heavy machinery to partake in the rescue operations.
At least 15 vehicles of Rescue 1122 are already busy carrying out the rescue operation while they’re also joined by the Bahria Town organization that through its workers and machinery is assisting in the operation.
The District Coordination Officer (DCO) has issued an alert to all hospitals and staffers.
