ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Rain and snowfall are expected for 10 days from Sunday in the earthquake-hit areas. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has on Friday issued an alert for the rain and snowfall and directed the relief teams to expedite their efforts, reported Dunya News.
According to the alert notification issued by NDMA, rain and snowfall are expected from November 1 to 4 in Chitral, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Malakand and Hazara Division due to which relief activities in the quake-hit areas are feared to suffer. Moreover, land-sliding is also feared in the mountainous regions.
NDMA further says that rain and snowfall is also expected from November 7 to 10 in the same areas. The temperature is expected to see a gradual drop in these areas due to the rain and snowfall that may also affect the relief activities through helicopter. NDMA has directed all the institutions to expedite their relief efforts.
