Summary Peace talks had greatly benefited the two countries: Former Foreign Minister

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Khurshid Kasuri said on Thursday that during the time of his government, peace talks were beneficial. He said that in his book, he had tried to explain Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir adding that no Indian leader had objected to the book, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media at a press conference after the launch of his book, former Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri said that his book was written for Pakistanis as well as Indians adding that no Indian leader had objected to the contents of the book.

He said that during his government, peace talks had greatly benefited the two countries. Khurshid Kasuri said that no dissenting opinion had come from the Kashmiris.

He, however, admitted that Syed Ali Gilani could not be convinced on progress in problem of Kashmir. Former Foreign Minister said that the book had already been sent to India. He said that he had conveyed message to Narendra Modi that negotiations are the only way forward.
