The Supreme Court has announced decision on case about the powers of the President to pardon sentence of the prisoners. The SC said that NAB-convicted prisoners also had right to get pardon. A 7-member bench led by the Chief Justice heard the case. The court has declared the Section 10-D of the NAB Ordinance as null and void due to which the convicts under NAB law will have right to get pardon. The Supreme Court said that under Article 45 of the Constitution, the President has powers to curtail the sentence of prisoners.
