ECP admits petition against irregularities in PTI funds
The case hearing will take place on November 10.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday admitted a petition against irregularities in funds of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaaf (PTI).
The petition was filed by Akbar S Babar.
The petitioner had alleged that Imran Khan embezzled party funds and the party also received foreign funding, however, this was not mentioned in the annual statement.
The PTI raised objection that the ECP cannot hear petition regarding party funds.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission rejected the objection and admitted Akbar S Babar’s petition for hearing. The case hearing will take place on November 10.
