QUETTA: (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain was on Tuesday enraged over a question about corruption in Nandipur power project and Islami Jamhuri Ittehad (IJI) formation in 1988. While declaring corruption as a menace only a short while ago, he was furious when asked about the alleged corruption in Nandipur power project, reported Dunya News.

President Mamnoon arrived in Quetta on a 2-day private visit. Talking to media during the visit, Mamnoon Hussain said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is not just beneficial for Balochistan but for the entire region. He said that federation is not the only entity responsible for Balochistan’s problems. He said that the people of Balochistan were also responsible for the problems that they were faced with.

The president said that the corruption has become a cancer that can only be ended through united efforts by all. But when he was asked about alleged corruption in Nandipur power plant and those who accepted bribes from IJI’s platform in the past, Mamnoon Hussain not only got furious but also advised the journalist to provide the proofs of the same in the courts.
