Summary ECP issued notices to Aleem Khan, Ayaz Sadiq; PML-N, PTI workers attacked govt taking off flexes

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers on Thursday attacked the government team taking off their banners, posters and flexes which have been put up in excessive numbers across NA-122. Returning Officer has also issued notice to PML-N candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and PTI candidate Abdul Aleem Khan over violation of the code of conduct, reported Dunya News.

It has become a challenge for administration. Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) started operation in NA-122. In the first phase, they started taking off the PML-N and PTI banners and flexes that were bigger than the permitted size in Dharampura and Garhi Shahu areas. However, this infuriated the PML-N and PTI workers who attacked the PHA team.

On the other hand, ECP issued notices to both Ayaz Sadiq and Aleem Khan over the complaint filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate. Moreover, CCPO Lahore also called Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Aleem Khan for a meeting upon the directions of Returning Officer to discuss the violations of the code of conduct. However, Aleem Khan didn’t attend the meeting whereas Ayaz Sadiq sent a representative.

ECP also directed the administration to immediately take the big-sized flexes off and take them into custody.
