Summary PTI has written to Punjab govt seeking security for leaders on threat
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A banned outfit has reportedly issued threats to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chaudhry Sarwar, Mehmoodur Rashid and several others, Dunya News reported.
According to details, PTI has written to Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and security institutions, saying that it is government’s responsibility to provide security to PTI leaders.
The letter says that PTI’s Member of Punjab Assembly (MPA) Mian Aslam Iqbal’s office has already been attacked twice.
The banned outfit has threatened to target Qureshi, Sarwar, Rashid, Abdul Aleem Khan, Mian Aslam Iqbal and Malik Taimur.
Sarwar has also dispatched copies of the letter to the Interior Ministry, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and DG Intelligence Bureau (IB).
