ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar on Thursday said that terrorists have not been fully implemented and that the war is still going on, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a press conference here in Islamabad, Nisar said it has been decided in the meeting reviewing National Action Plan (NAP) chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that those who challenge the state will be crushed using the state power.
He said successes have been achieved in the past 8 months, adding that security situation will be further improved. “Those who create chaos in the name of Islam will be taken to their logical end”, he said.
The federal minister said that the army has cleared Swat after the military operation and that security forces eliminated terrorist network in North Waziristan.
“No one doubts sacrifices offered by Pak Army jawans but other institutions have also done their jobs”, he said, adding that several terrorist attacks were thwarted but the government doesn’t advertise that.
Chaudhry Nisar said that war against terrorism is continued and it will take some time to achieve complete success. He said the government doesn’t want to shut down schools, bazaars and streets and that the day is not far when Pakistan will be freed of every kind of terrorism and militancy.
He said some NGOs are working without permission and that international NGOs are federation’s responsibility while the local NGOs’ responsibility belongs to provinces.
“A policy regarding NGOs has been prepared in the span of 2.5 months and will be announced in next few days”, he said.
The federal minister said that international NGOs as well as the local NGOs will be fully monitored. He said several NGOs are doing good work and government wants to bring them to the legal fold.
He said the weapons’ licenses were issued without identity cards in the past 8 years, adding that licenses are being reviewed and will be computerized.
Nisar said Afghan refugees have to live in the refugee camps as per the law. He said Afghan refugees cannot conduct business activities but are doing so, adding that there’s reaction if they are stopped.
Regarding registration of seminaries, Ch Nisar said that the process will be made easy and Pakistani curriculum will be included for seminaries’ students.
