Punjab govt waives agri tax of flood-hit areas

Punjab government has announced to waive agriculture tax of flood-affected areas while it has also announced aid for affectees of other provinces. PML-N leader chaired a high-level meeting of the party in which Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, party leaders and provincial officers took part. Steps for addressing the problems of flood-affectees were discussed in the meeting. Senator Pervaiz Rasheed told media after the meeting that Nawaz Sharif has directed to speed up efforts to help people in trapped in the flood-hit areas. He told that Punjab government has decided to waive agriculture tax of areas affected by floods.
