LAHORE (Web Desk) – India, fearing extended cooperation between China and Pakistan has started intervention in South China Sea.

Shanghai Municipal Centre for International Studies director, Wang Dehua in an interview said that China would not tolerate Indian intervention in Chinese controversial boundary.

He said that India must not join anti-China union on wishes on of Japan and United States (US). India’s oil and natural gas department has shown interest to restart efforts for discovery of new reserves off Vietnam coast.

This is not the first time that India has maintained this stance. Earlier, China had recorded protests in the matter several times. However, this development is caused by increasing concerns of India regarding Pakistan-China growing ties. The move aims at pressurizing China to compromise over its relations with Pakistan.

India is desirous of strengthening its position in Pacific. This urge can be testified through recent navy exercises between US and India.
