LAHORE (Dunya News) – A bail plea of former Punjab president Qasim Zia, apprehended in corruption case, has been submitted in Lahore High Court (LHC) today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.
As per details, Barrister Ali Zafar filed a bail petition stating that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has named his client in false case. He said that NAB was unable to collect evidence against Qasim Zia despite getting a 16-day physical remand.
Earlier, the accused was presented before the NAB court during which the investigation officers requested to extend Qasim Zia’s physical remand as they were unable to submit evidence against him.
After listening to the security personnel, court rebuffed to extend former Punjab president’s physical remand.
