ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has on Monday agreed to withdraw resignations as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif assured of forming a committee to address all the concerns, reported Dunya News.

In a meeting with the PM, MQM delegation demanded forming of a committee to address their concerns. Getting the assurance, MQM assured of withdrawing their resignations.

Talking to media after the meeting, Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazl ur-Rehman told that meeting with the MQM delegation, headed by Dr. Farooq Sattar, was held at the PM House today and the delegation informed the PM about their concerns in detail. JUI-F head told that PM listened to the concerns shared by MQM leaders and assured them of addressing these concerns and forming of a committee for this purpose. “All the complaints will be presented before this committee. The process of forming the committee will start tomorrow”, he said. He told that MQM delegation has also assured of reviewing their decision of resigning from the assemblies in view of the assurances given by the PM.

Talking on this occasion, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said that some basic points were discussed during the meeting with the PM. He said that a 19-point document was handed to the PM while the issues of forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings were raised. “MQM is not against Karachi operation but the killers of our workers should also be arrested”, he said. He said that scores of MQM workers have been murdered in Karachi during the last few years.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar told the media that PM wants to take all the political parties along with him. “PM’s vision is to keep all the democratic forces together”, he said. Dar assured that MQM’s concerns will be addressed through talks and a committee has been formed for this purpose. He said that the committee will solve the issues in the light of constitution. He said that all the democratic forces will have to stay together in order to face all the challenges because political stability is vital for Pakistan’s progress.
