SRI NAGAR (Dunya News) – At least three people were killed while several others wounded after India resorted to firing on and baton-charging protesters demonstrating against the house arrest of Kashmir Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani, Dunya News reported.
Panicked India, the claimant of largest democracy, went all in to suppress the protesters as it targeted them with shelling, baton-charging and firing at the protesters. The demonstrators kept chanting pro-Pakistan slogans including Pakistan Zindabad (long live Pakistan).
Panicked over Pakistan’s firm stance over talks and support for the Kashmir cause, India has virtually resorted to everything including using violence on unarmed protesters.
Several Kashmiri protesters were also arrested.
