Summary Decision has been made to include Faislabad and Lahore in the first phase of LB polls
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has made a new schedule for local body polls in Punjab and Sindh. Both provinces will commence first phase of local body polls on October 31. Decision has been made to include Faislabad and Lahore in the first phase of local body elections, reported Dunya News.
According to ECP, schedule for the first phase of local body polls will be issued on August 26. Nomination papers can be submitted by the candidates from September 7 to 11. Scrutiny of the nomination papers will take place from September 13 to 17. Decisions on the filed appeals will be announced till September 30.
First phase of polling will take place on October 31. Schedules for second and third phases of local body elections will be issued on September 3 and 31 respectively.
