Zain murder case: uncle booked for withdrawing as complainant, key witness
The court has ordered press conference record of the complainant
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In an unusual development, a case has been registered against slain teenager Zain’s uncle on court’s order for recanting as key witness, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a case has been registered against Zain’s uncle, the original complainant, Sohail Afzal with police as complainant of record.
The case has been registered at Mustafabad Police Station for refusing to identify the influential suspect.
The hearing of Zain murder case at Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) took place on Thursday in which the court sought the record of the complainant’s press conference.
The prosecution had petitioned the court for the press conference record from the day of the incident, after the Afzal withdrew as key witness and complainant.
The court also ordered Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to present the record of the press conference on September 24.
