SRINAGAR (Dunya News) – Indian authorities on Thursday have released separatist leader Yasin Malik and other Hurriyat leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq from house arrest in crackdown ahead of dinner with Advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
The Pakistan High Commission on August 19 invited separatists leaders for a dinner with Aziz on his National Security Advisor (NSA) level talks visit.
Indian security forces started a crackdown against Kashmiri leaders. Different leaders who were put under house arrest include Syed Ali Gillani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while yasin Malik was arrested from his house.
Advisor to PM will visit India on August 23 for NSA talks. However, US newspaper has hinted war between Pakistan India if tensions along Line of Control (LoC) and otherwise persist.
