Summary Courts worldwide allow students to follow dress code of their choice, maintains petitioner
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday has summoned a reply from federal and provincial government as Government College University (GCU) refuses admission to female student for wearing veil.
Justice Ijazul Hassan held hearing of the case.
The petitioner said that she is not being permitted admission in the college for wearing veil. She said that courts worldwide allow students to follow dress code of their choice.
It is an attempt to darken college’s future by such condemnable act, she added. The troubled student requested the court to order authorities to allow admission.
The court ordered the Punjab and federal governments along with the college to file reply until September 10.
