LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Election Tribunal (ET) has on Thursday reserved the decision on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate Shoaib Siddiqui’s rigging petition against Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MPA from PP-147 Mohsin Latif. The tribunal also told Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq’s lawyer to complete his arguments by August 17, reported Dunya News.

According to details, Mohsin Latif had been elected in General Election 2013 on PML-N ticket from PP-147 in Lahore. PTI candidate Shoaib Siddiqui had challenged his victory in ET. Mohsin Latif’s lawyer completed his arguments in the ET today and rejected the allegations leveled by Shoaib Siddiqui in his petition. The tribunal reserved its decision after completion of the lawyer’s arguments.

Shoaib Siddiqui had filed a petition challenging Mohsin Latif’s victory in ET through his lawyer Anees Hashmi Advocate, alleging the victory of being rigged and seeking Mohsin’s disqualification.

On the other hand, acting on Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s petition, ET has fixed 17 August as next date of hearing, directing Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s lawyer to complete his arguments by August 17 or else the tribunal will give a one-sided decision.

Imran Khan had also alleged Ayaz Sadiq’s victory of being rigged and had filed a petition against him, seeking his disqualification.
