Floods destroy Chitral's infrastructure, Dunya News team visits villages

Summary Pakistan Army has managed to clear paths leading to the villages two weeks into the natural disaster

CHITRAL (Dunya News) – Floods have destroyed infrastructure of the district and adjoining areas as connective bridges, houses and roads have been demolished.

Dunya News team reached Greenlisht village at least 54 kilometres (Kms) from the district and Breins village which is at least 42 Kms. The people are facing potable water shortage. People have lost cattle due to malnutrition. The decomposing bodies are likely to spread diseases in the area.

However, Pakistan Army has managed to clear paths leading to the villages two weeks into the natural disaster. No government representative paid a visit to Greenlisht which has been completed washed away by floods.

Separately, as many as 500 families are stranded in Skardu while more than 40 villages have lost land connections to other parts
