The movie was surrounded by controversies ahead of its release including speculations that it might be banned from screening in Pakistan. Smashing all barriers, the movie went on the release and saw insanely massive response, packed houses and full houses booked in advance for days.
One estimate says the movie earned Rs 45 million on Eid holidays only.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a story of how a devout Hindu Indian man (portrayed by Salman Khan) goes out of his way to bring a stranded Muslim Pakistani mute girl back to Pakistan.
