LHC forms bench to hear case challenging new delimitations for LB polls

Summary Justice Mehmood has refused to hold hearing of the case for personal reasons

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A three-member full bench on Wednesday has been formed in Lahore High Court (LHC) for hearing of case that challenges new delimitations for local body (LB) elections.

Chief Justice (CJ) Manzoor Malik has formed a three-member bench headed by Justice Atir Mehmood. However, Justice Mehmood has refused to hold hearing of the case for personal reasons. He has returned the file to the CJ after he made his decision.

This development has come in after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Jahangir Tareen had challeneged new delimitations in the LHC for LB polls.
