Summary PTI Sindh accused PPP of selling jobs and MQM of awarding jobs in Karachi Water Board without merit

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Sindh has on Tuesday accused Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of not observing merit while awarding jobs and even of selling jobs to favorites. PTI leader Arif Alvi said that corruption is at its peak in Sindh. “MQM talks about quota system. We ask MQM any jobs were awarded on merit in Karachi Water Board”, said PTI leaders, reported Dunya News.

Holding a press conference, Arif Alvi said that the Sindh government is not bringing forward the list of 24 people wanted in corruption to the Rangers.

Talking on this occasion, PTI leader Imran Ismail said that the recent deaths in Karachi were a result of replacing trees with billboards. He said that the attitude of the federal government in this matter is that of humiliating Karachi.

Former vice Nazim of Umar Kot Arbab Sameejo said that Sindh government is not taking action against Syed Ali Murad Shah despite evidence against him in corruption worth billions of rupees. He said that houses are being constructed on the land of Umar Kot Community Center despite stay order from the court. “Instead I am receiving life threats as I forwarded a reference to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against this corruption”, he added. He told that fake FIRs had also been launched against him.
