LAHORE (Dunya News) – Despite the passage of nine hours, rescue staff has failed to completely extinguish the fire that was erupted at a super store in Lahore’s Liberty Market today (Monday).
Sources have reported that at least two people sustained injuries as glass facade of the building collapsed.
According to details, as many as four fire tenders of Pakistan Airforce along with the workers of district administration, Water and Sanitary Agency (WASA) and Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) are busy in dousing the fire whereas District Coordination Officer (DCO) and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore are also monitoring the rescue operation.

While talking to the media, DCO Usman told that no causalities have been occured as a consequence of blaze however, management is utilizing all the resources to extinguish fire. He said that the fire has engulfed entire building.
The rescue teams have also alerted the adjoining buildings and directed them to adopt precautionary measures.

Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has taken the notice of the incident and directed the officials to submit the report as early as possible.
Moreover, authorities stated that the cause of fire eruption is still not confirmed.
