The salaries of employees have not been raised in ration of hiked prices, say protesters

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday has demonstrated a protest against the federal budget announced for the fiscal year 2015-16 terming it the “elitist budget”.

The protesters blocked Bosan Road. A large number of party workers gathered at the Chungi number six and held placards and banners against the ruling party. The protesters also raised slogans.

The people said that they reject the federal budget as they have not been given relief. They said that the taxes on impoverished people have increased while those on the industrialists have been decreased. They further said that the salaries of employees have not been raised in ratio of hiked prices of different items.

They demanded the government to increase salaries by at least 20 percent to 30 percent while the least pay should be set at Rs 15,000.
