Case registered against Ali Amin Gandapur for snatching ballot boxes
A PTI candidate has been arrested in Peshawar for pelting stones at the car of Haroon Bilour's wife
DI KHAN: (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) police registered a case against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader, and Provincial Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) for Finance, Ali Amin Gandapur has on Sunday. Gandapur had snatched ballot boxes from Himmat Polling Station at Ratta Kalachi Ward, Dera Ismail Khan. On the other hand, a PTI candidate has been arrested for allegedly pelting stones at the car of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Haroon Bilour’s wife, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Ali Amin Gandapur was trying to snatch the ballot boxes from the Himmat Polling Station in Ratta Kalachi Ward, Dera Ismail Khan upon which the people present there got enraged and surrounded the provincial minister’s car. A woman got injured by the firing of Gandapur’s guard. DIG, Deputy Commissioner and DPO DI Khan arrived at the scene as the situation got tensed. Case against Ali Amin Gandapur has been registered under 9 charges including confronting the police, attempted murder and snatching the ballot boxes.
Ali Amin Gandapur maintained that he had arrived at the scene upon information that rigging was taking place there. He said that he would have never stopped his car if he had the ballot boxes with him.
On the other hand, Yakka Toot police arrested a PTI candidate Iftikhar Khan after registering a case against him for allegedly pelting stones at the car of ANP leader Haroon Bilour’s wife.
