Summary
As many as 15 persons including two women killed while 6 others sustained critical injuries when a passenger coach skidded off the track and fell into a gorge near Davelian in Muzaffarabad on Saturday. According to police, a coach carrying as many as 22 passengers veered off the road and fell into a gorge while negotiating a turn. Overspeeding is said to be the cause of the mishap. Resultantly, 15 people including a journalist Muhammad Zameer and his family died on the spot while 6 others got severely injured. Injured persons are being shifted to hospital in Muzzafarabad located some 3 hours away from accident site, police officials confirmed to media.
