KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh government has devised policy to provide waters to the different areas of Karachi on alternate days as the water crisis has intensified in the provincial capital. Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon has on Sunday said that the system has brought benefits and water distribution has become better with this policy, reported Dunya News.

After attending the Water Board meeting, Sharjeel Memon told the media that Sindh government has been providing 1000 water tankers in various regions of the city and will arrange 3000 water tankers during the month of Ramzan and all from its own resources. He said that water is being provided to the citizens living in different areas on alternate days and the policy has improved water distribution.

Memon told that the Sindh government has provided 13500 acres of land for the K4 project and foundations of this project will be launched this month.

On the other hand, Karachi residents are in extreme distress due to the water crisis. Water has become extinct in certain areas of the city. Opining over the new policy, citizens said that water must be provided even on alternate days. They said that extremely hot weather has further increased their problems while water issue has not been resolved in many areas despite the implementation of the new system.
