The Sindh Assembly passed the annual budget 2010-2011 on Saturday. Opposition leader Sheryar Meher accused the government of spending billions of rupees on unnecessary expenses like furniture for government officials. The members of the Sindh Assembly rejected the plea of opposition concerning to cutting down of unnecessary expenses.Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah strongly rejected the claim that Rs100 million were spent on unnecessary expenditure and this year those costs need to be cut down drastically. During the debate the Qaim Ali Shah also said that a helicopter for government use is a necessity. Interior Minister Zulfikar Mirza expressed his thanks to Chief Justice Sindh Court for imposing a ban on cars with tinted glasses and fancy license plates.
