ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday reprimanded Islamabad police for the rising crime rate in the capital. He warned the police personnel saying that whoever doesn’t show performance will lose their job.

According to details, the police acted with extra efficiency and provided additional protocol to appease the interior minister just when he arrived at the police line headquarters.

Addressing in an event held at the police line headquarter, Interior Minister warned that corruption will no longer be tolerated. He said country’s economic situation is not well and even then the government is trying to resolve issues of the police and other security institutions.

The interior minister also distributed prizes to the police officers and civil administration for showing ‘best performance’ during sit-ins staged by opposition parties Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
