RIYADH (Dunya News) – Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday that it would halt airstrikes on midnight of April 21 while naval blockade would continue. Saudi coalition spokesperson said that a new stage has begun in the operations, reported Dunya News.

According to a statement issued by spokesperson of Saudi forces, the threat in Yemen has been neutralized, adding that coalition forces are now not facing any imminent threat from Houthis.

The spokesperson said that a new stage had begun for the ongoing operation. The second stage of the operation will be called ‘hope for recovery’. Saudi Arabia, he added, would play its role for reconstruction and prosperity of Yemen.

It should be noted here that Houthi spokesperson Hussain Al-Bakhiti had previously said that Houthi tribe would never consider attacking the holy sites in Saudi Arabia.

The Houthi spokesperson said that Houthi tribe is Muslim by religion and respects the sacred sites in Saudi Arabia.
