Islamabad: Plane makes emergency landing after engine catches fire

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An aircraft of a private airline made an emergency landing on the runway of Benazir International airport in Islamabad after its engine caught fire, Dunya news reported on Tuesday.

As per airport sources, the aircraft was en route to Karachi from Islamabad when fire broke out in the engine however, the pilot at once landed the plane saving lives of hundreds of passengers.

Meanwhile, Civil Aviation officials stated to open the runway after ensuring necessary precautions.
