ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan and China altogether have vowed to cooperate in every sector by signing as many as 51 agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs), Dunya News reported.
Pakistan along with the assistance of China unveiled at least eight projects to be initiated in Pakistan’s territory.
The plans included the installation of various projects related to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, research and technology, education and other fields.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on this occasion stated that these agreements would surely bring financial and technical backup for Pakistan and termed the Pak-China friendship as vital for foreign policy.
He said that one can easily capture Pak-China friendship by expressions like friendship is higher than mountains, deeper than oceans, sweeter than honey and stronger than steel.
He expressed that both the countries have common future and cultures whereas today they have once again promised to resolve issues and to promote development.
The projects and agreements signed include Karot 720 MW hydroelectric project; Daud, Jhimpir and Sachal wind power projects, 100 MW solar power plant; joint statement on strategic cooperative partnership, Pakistan-China technical and economic cooperation agreement, and agreement on launching of Dosti Channel between Radio Pakistan and Chinese Radio International.
