Summary Chinese companies will invest up to 18 billion dollars on these projects, it is learned
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Ministry of Water and Power and Chinese companies signed on agreements of up to 8730 megawatts on Monday. The projects will reach completion in 3 years, reported Dunya News.
According to details issued by Ministry of Water and Power, the projects will include Quaid-e-Azam solar power plant of 900 megawatts, Engro Thar coal power project of 660 megawatts and Qasim coal power plant of 1320 megawatts among many others.
A number of wind power generation projects were also included in the agreements.
The agreements were signed upon by Secretary Water and Power Ministry Younus Dagha from the Pakistani side.
Chinese companies will invest up to 18 billion dollars on these projects, it is learned.
The government officials have said that the projects will take up to 3 years to complete.
