Summary Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Xi Pinjing addressed the press conference
(Web-Desk) -- Top dignitaries including Chinese President Xi Pinjing and Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif unveiled the agreements that took place between the two governments on Monday.
The projects that are being displayed during the exhibition include Quaid-e-Azam solar power project, Engro Thar coal power project, Qasim coal power plant, extension of Metro bus project in Lahore, establishment of Pak-China friendship radio channel FM 98 with help of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation and Chinese authorities and laying down of optical fiber between the countries among other projects.
Diginitaries that signed the agreements with their counterparts include Ahsan Iqbal, Ishaq Dar, Sartaj Aziz, Khawaja Asif among other high-ranking officials.
Addressing the press conference, PM Nawaz Sharif remarked that Pakistan s friendship with China is deeper than oceans, sweeter than honey and stronger than steel .
Highlighting the friendly relationship between the two countries, the PM said that a number of projects had been agreed upon during President Xi Pinying s historic visit to Pakistan.
The PM further added that it was cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy to pursue good relationship with its neighbour.
Chinese President Xi Pinjing also addressed the press conference and said that the current trade agreements between the two countries will help propel the relationship into a strategic partnership .
The Chinese President said that his government will continue his unwavering support for uplifting the economy of Pakistan adding that the he will endeavor to step up on measures to increase economic partnership between the two countries.
He also praised Pakistan s effort for countering terrorism in the region, promising to help the country to in its mission of eradicating terrorism.
