Summary

The water level in the Hunza Lake has been risen by ten inches during the last 24 years as glacier melting is continued, while teams have been reached Hunza for spillway widening. The lake water is up by 37 inches since June 11. Some 5 houses have been demolished in Gulmit for fear of submerging. As per reports reaching here, a mild blast would be carried out in the area which would break the stones making hurdles in water outflow.
