TEHRAN: (Dunya News) – Iran has offered Pakistan to provide security in the lawless areas on Pakistan-Iran border on Monday. Iran’s Interior Minister Abdul Raza Rehmani has said that there are certain areas on Pakistan-Iran border, within Pakistan’s territory, where the government of Pakistan had no writ. He said that Iran could Pakistan with the security in these areas, reported Dunya News.
Iranian minister also suggested joint surveillance with Pakistani forces.
Iran’s border security forces and extremists have confronted each other in armed conflicts on the Balochistan-Seestan border shared by the two countries many a time.
8 Iranian border security officials were killed on 7 April in a similar conflict and Iran had launched strong protest over this incident.
