LAHORE (Dunya News) – Residents of Jhang on Wednesday are demonstrating a protest outside the provincial assembly on the Mall against the alleged extortion of properties by the police and influential political figures.
The protesters said that a political figure belonging to the ruling party has extorted acres of land of Darbar Sultan Bahu. They said that fake cases are being filed against the successors of the saint with the help of certain police officers.
The protesters have demanded the government to take notice of the extortion being done in their area and take necessary measures.
However, the traffic flow is greatly affected on the Mall due to the protest.
