Visiting Karachi to end atmosphere of fear: Imran Khan

Summary PTI chief Imran Khan is visiting Karachi for campaigning in NA-246 by-election.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that security is an issue in Karachi but he is visiting the city to end atmosphere of fear.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Imran Khan said that he is going to Hyderabad first and will reach Karachi at night.

“Today in Sindh I will meet those people who want change,” he said.

Khan said that no go areas in Karachi are illegal.

“No constituency is property of anyone in the country, anyone can contest from anywhere in democracy,” he added.

The PTI chief said he will talk to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Sirajul Haq to seek cooperation for by-election in NA-246 constituency of Karachi.

He said there are reports that eggs and tomatoes have reached the MQM headquarters Nine-Zero to welcome him but he is not afraid of anyone. Thursday is dedicated to campaigning in Karachi for NA-246.

He warned that if any of PTI worker is harmed in Karachi, his lawyers will file case against Altaf Hussain in London.

To a question, Imran Khan said: “Whatever I said on container during dharna, I standby with each and every single word of me.”

He remarked that constitution demands free and fair elections and this parliament is fake because May 2013 polls were not fair. Khan also announced that he will go to the National Assembly on Friday and give reply to all.

On Yemen, he suggested that Pakistan must not become party in Yemen conflict at any cost and any shape, it is a quagmire.
