PPP Lahore's ex-Finance Secretary arrested for years of gas theft
The accused was caught stealing Rs 92 crore worth electricity in PPP govt as well
LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Lahore’s former Finance Secretary Mian Tariq Aziz has been arrested after Sui Northern Gas team raided and discovered blatant gas theft at his card factory.
According to details, Sui Northern team raided Aziz’s factory on instructions of SGM Transmission Zahid Hussain. The team found the evidence of gas theft at the factory and the local police have arrested Aziz after booking him.
The accused was also caught stealing gas worth 92 crore rupees during PPP government and was on bail these days.
Sui Northern has seized factory’s gas connection and registered the case against the accused.
