ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday has disposed of the petition filed against the procedure of appointing Chief Election Commission (CEC).
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Ejaz Chaudhry, heard the case in which plaintiff Shahid Orakzai claimed that constitutional provisions were neglected while appointing CEC.
Arguing over the statement of petitioner, Justice Ameer Hani Muslim remarked that if anyone gets affected by CEC procedure then he should consult court but you are not aggrieved party.
Moreover, the court suspended claimant’s fine of Rs20,000 by dismissing the plea.
