LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the Punjab government to appoint permanent governor of Punjab till May 7, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

During a hearing of governor Punjab appointment case, petitioner Azhar Siddiqui told the court that the government is violating constitutin by not electing peramanent governor on which Deputy Attorney General informed the court that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif is busy in sorting out Yemen situation due to which Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif was unable to look into this matter.

Subsequently, the apex court warned of summoning Secretary Cantt Division if government fails to appoint governor Punjab till May 7.
