Summary We demand that Prime Minister must tell us the truth regarding Yemen conflict, says PTI chief

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has on Monday expressed grief over the harsh language used by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and other parliamentarians against his party in the parliament. He demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to tell the session the truth about Pakistan’s involvement in Yemen, reported Dunya News.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad outside the Parliament House, Imran Khan said that he wasn’t allowed to speak in the parliament. He said that the government must tell everyone what commitments it has made with Saudi Arabia regarding sending Pakistan’s troops in Yemen war.

“I have no hopes in this parliament but we have come here because I did not want people to say that despite forming of the judicial commission, PTI did not play its role in such a dire situation”, he added. “I am afraid that Nawaz Sharif’s personal business and relations would overshadow Pakistani state’s interests in Yemen conflict”, he said.

Imran Khan said that Pakistan went in to a foreign war previously and hasn’t been able to come out of it as yet. He said that Pakistan must not commit itself in another war.
