Summary DIG West stated that candidates of both parties will discuss their problems with SP Liaqatabad.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Security was provided on Saturday to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidates for the NA-246 election campaign. According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) West Feroz Shah, 1 Superintendent Police (SP), 2 Station House Officers (SHO) and 15 officers will be designated for the security of each candidate. SP Liaqatabad Tahir Nurani has been designated as the focal person for candidates of both parties.

DIG West stated that candidates of both parties will discuss their problems with SP Liaqatabad. He appealed to both MQM and PTI not to take the law into their hands.

On the other hand, 7 individuals arrested previously for involvement in the attack on PTI’s camp during the election campaign were released by the police on Saturday. The individuals were released after the anti-terrorism sections registered against them were nullified by the police.

Police officials stated that no concrete evidence was found against those arrested due to which they were released on bail.
