Summary Punjab Apex Committee resolves to eradicate terrorism, extremism and sectarianism from Pakistan
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has on Friday said that making Pakistan peaceful is the mission of every Pakistani. He was presiding over the meeting of the Punjab Apex Committee that decided to eradicate terrorism, extremism and sectarianism form the country, Dunya News reported.
The meeting was attended by Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Naveed Zaman, DG Rangers Punjab Major General Umar Farooq Barki, General Officer Commanding 10 Division Major General Aamir Abbasi and other senior officials. The meeting examined the implementation of National Action Plan in detail and reiterated its resolve to rid Pakistan of terrorism.
CM Punjab said on this occasion that the steps taken in view of the National Action Plan have borne fruit in Punjab. He said that modern information technology was being used for curbing terrorism. “Additional chapters related to endurance, tolerance and brotherhood were being introduced in the curricula of the schools, colleges, universities and seminaries”, he added.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the sacrifices of our martyrs won’t go waste. “Entire nation is proud of their sacrifices”, he said. He said that the facilitators of the terrorists will also be caught and executed along with the terrorists.
