Summary Pakistanis were shifted to Djibouti from Aden through a Chinese vessel on Thursday.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - A special Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane carrying 176 Pakistanis from Djibouti has landed at Benazir International Airport in Islamabad on Friday.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation Shujjat Azim received the passengers at the airport.
Pakistani nationals, who were stuck in war-hit Yemen, were brought to the African country from Aden district through a Chinese ship yesterday.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that evacuation of remaining Pakistanis from Mokallah will also start soon.
Talking to media at airport, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has assured that the remaining stranded Pakistanis in Yemen will be evacuated in the next few days.
The minister said there are between 300 to 350 Pakistanis left in San a and Mokallah.
He said the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the evacuation operation which will continue till the last Pakistani is safely lifted from Yemen.
Khawaja Asif said he has requested the Saudi authorities to provide a corridor for the transportation of Pakistanis from Sanaa to Al-Hudaida. From there, these Pakistanis will be airlifted through the PIA plane.
The evacuated people appreciated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s personal interest in the evacuation of Pakistanis from Yemen.
