Summary Twelve more death row prisoner were hanged in different jails of the country on Tuesday morning.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least 12 more death row prisoners were executed on early Tuesday morning in different jails of the country.
A total of 39 people have so far been executed since the government lifted a moratorium on the death penalty for all capital crimes.
According to details, two prisoners were hanged in Karachi Central Jail. Afzal and Faisal had killed a man named Abdul Jabbar during a robbery attempt.
In Multan, one of the two prisoners was hanged. Zafar Iqbal was guilty of killing a 6-year-old girl after rape.
Another prisoner named Nawaz was hanged in Central Jail, Faisalabad. Nawaz was involved in killing two people, named Mansoor and Maqsood, in 1992.
Three death row accused were hanged in Jhang. Prisoners Muhammad Sharif and Mubashar had killed a taxi driver in 1998 after abduction.
The execution of Asghar Ali in Dera Ghazi Khan Central Jail was put on hold. Asghar had killed his nephew in 2000 over a domestic dispute.
Muhammad Iqbal was hanged in Gujranwala Central Jail. Iqbal had killed a man in 1996 over a minor issue.
Zafar Iqbal and Rab Nawaz were hanged in Central Jail Mianwali while Nadeem Zaman and Muhammad Javed were executed in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
