Summary Polio drops will be administered to children below age of five during the campaigns.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Sehat Ka Insaf, a two-day campaign has been launched in Peshawar today (Monday) to vaccinate more than 700,000 children against polio and other diseases.
According to health department sources, four thousand teams have been formed to carry out the door-to-door campaign in 96 union councils (UCs).
On the occasion, motorcycle riding will be banned across the city.
In Dera Ismail Khan, at least 298,000children below age of five will be vaccinated during the anti-polio campaign for which 651 teams have been formed.
In Balochistan, a three-day anti-polio drive has been launched to administer polio drops to more than 400,000 children in 29 districts.
The campaign could not begin in Quetta due to security reasons. Authorities say that security could not be provided to polio workers due to ongoing Balochistan Sports Festival.
